Mastering Money Management with ADHD Clients: Strengthen Executive Functioning & Overcome Invisible Barriers
Copyright :

Money is a leading contributor to psychological distress, conflict, divorce, and even death by suicide. This is especially concerning for adults with ADHD, who face outsized threats to their financial well-being. Specifically, ADHD can make earning, keeping, and managing money significantly more challenging.

Join Christine Hargrove, PhD, MDiv, to discover the appropriate knowledge and training, so as a clinician you can promote your clients’ financial well-being while staying within your scope of practice.  You'll learn:

  • The relevant and current research regarding how ADHD affects financial behavior and outcomes
  • To recognize the unique risks your clients face, making you better able to understand their contexts and tailor your efforts to support them
  • A framework for understanding why ADHD creates issues for money and in general—the invisible barriers presented by executive functioning issues
  • An intervention designed specifically to help ADHD clients identify and overcome the invisible barriers that impede their financial well-being

Best of all, the intervention you learn can be extended to topics beyond finance and will be illustrated using a case study example!
