Adeyinka Akinsulure-Smith, PhD, ABPP


Adeyinka (Yinka) Akinsulure-Smith, PhD, ABPP, is a Sierra Leonean born, licensed psychologist. A tenured professor in the department of psychology at the City University of New York (CUNY) she has cared for forced migrants, as well as survivors of torture, armed conflict, and human rights abuses from around the world, including 25 years at the Bellevue Program for Survivors of Torture. She is a facilitator, trainer and supervisor for Common Threads Project, most recently guiding a first men’s healing circle in CTP’s Nigeria project.
