Amanda Mustard
Amanda Mustard is a filmmaker and photographer raised on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania. Shaped by personal experiences of adventure, adversity, and absurdity, her work is driven by curiosity and compassion.
She’s a person that loves people and is a sucker for experiences that surprise and delight. Her open heartedness forges a special intimacy with her subjects.
She really respects the work of Anthony Bourdain, Tierra Whack, Louis Theroux, and Maria Bamford.
Mustard makes many things but prefers it involve a camera. Prior to filmmaking, she worked for a decade as a photojournalist based out of Cairo and Bangkok, a career that imbued in her a foundation of ethical sensitivity, a sharp eye for good stories, and a satisfying aesthetic. Driven by her values, she has told stories for clients globally including The New York Times, National Geographic, and HBO Max.
