Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is one of the most popular and effective approaches to therapy today.
In this all-new training, Steven C. Hayes will focus on ACT’s most central and practical skill: psychological flexibility.
Dr. Hayes will explore how the future of therapy lies in understanding how to do this with real clients, in real sessions.
The best part is he’ll show you how to do all of this without learning a new form of therapy. You’ll have a powerful alternative to traditional diagnostic-based treatments based on the DSM.
With all new content and case examples, you’ll walk away with a renewed sense of confidence in treating clients. Once you learn this more helpful way of conceptualizing problems, it just might revolutionize the way you do therapy.
This 2-day training is normally $529.98, but in this first-ever LIVE event, we’re offering it free to any clinician who wants to attend. You’ll also get bonus access to Steve’s keynote address from the 2024 Innovations in Psychotherapy Conference.

Psychological Flexibility in a Traumatizing World

It’s clear that, despite decades of research, psychotherapy hasn’t actually improved on its outcomes.
What’s worse, the proliferation of new psychiatric diagnoses and manualized, symptom-based therapies may actually be moving us further in the wrong direction.
ACT and process-based therapies are the evidence-based alternatives to protocol and diagnosis-driven psychotherapy.
It's based on over 40 years of robust behavioral research that is built around what actually happens within a person when they get better in therapy.
It turns out there are a small handful of things going on – at least 6 core processes – that accurately predict long-term outcomes in therapy.
What’s even more exciting is that by targeting these core processes, rather than just symptoms, we can move away from strict diagnosis-based protocols and truly create a personalized therapy for each client.
That’s what ACT is – one of the world’s first and only process-based therapies that targets change processes within clients.
And it’s approaches like this that may be the future of psychotherapy, and one that finally gives therapists the flexibility to do what they do best and the tools they need to improve clients’ real lives.
Join one of the most eye-opening therapy trainings with one of the most celebrated psychologists in the modern era who is challenging much of how we do therapy.

How to Personalize Therapy with Process-Based Interventions
Dr. Hayes will delve into what behavioral science suggests is the most important skill set in all of mental and behavioral health: Learning how to be more flexible. He'll show you how it works how to detect these processes in sessions and to bring attention to them.
The truth is that one size fits none, and each particular person, couple, or family is unique, but that there is a kind of alphabet of suffering and human prosperity that will make sense of it.

How to Personalize Therapy with Process-Based Interventions
Dr. Hayes will shift the focus to how therapists can utilize the therapeutic alliance and modern measurement and AI tools to model and support these flexibility skills, addressing modern challenges such as the ubiquity of trauma or the distress, anxiety, and sadness that global failures can engender.
By personalizing interventions with a focus on empowerment processes this workshop not only begins to redefine mental and behavioral health care but also equips practitioners with the tools to use their existing therapeutic skills within a process-based framework for transformative change.

of Nevada, Reno and President of the Institute for Better Health, a 45-year old charitable
organization dedicated to better mental and behavioral health.
His work has been
focused on developing a new behavioral science approach called Contextual Behavioral Science. He

helped develop a model of human suffering and human prosperity (the Psychological Flexibility
Model), a new method of analyzing processes of change (idionomic analysis), a new vision of what
evidence-based intervention should be (Process-Based Therapy), and he has extended
multidimensional and multilevel evolutionary thinking to human problems of all
