Description

Dysphagia management in critical care presents unique challenges, and this seminar offers a ‘Tour de ICU Dysphagia’ through Medical, Neuro, Surgical/Trauma, and Cardiac ICU settings. With real-world case studies, interactive tools, and decision-making frameworks, you’ll build advance skills to assess and treat dysphagia across diverse ICU populations. By the end, you’ll be equipped with practical strategies for bedside evaluations, selecting appropriate instrumental assessments, and creating tailored treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.

Reilly Johnson, MS, CCC-SLP Related seminars and products


Reilly Johnson, MS, CCC-SLP, is an acute care speech-language pathologist with a specialization in ICU dysphagia management. She earned her MS from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where she received the Russell J. Love Honors Award for academic and clinical excellence. In her work at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she managed complex cases involving tracheostomy, ventilator-dependent patients, and head and neck cancer.

Currently at Froedtert Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center, Reilly provides advanced interventions, including VFSS and FEES, across multiple ICUs. She collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support critically ill patients and leads training for medical residents on dysphagia interventions.
