We review challenges that may arise, explore various clinical dilemmas, and discuss ways to handle them in authentic, grounded, and ethical ways. Strategies to support therapists and clients are also presented.

Irina Wen, PhD, is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU Langone Health and a clinical supervisor at the Military Family Clinic at NYU Langone Health, which she helped establish in 2012 and directed between 2014-2019.
