Together, you’ll explore the historical timelines of grief related criteria using DSM editions and the rationale behind those changes, various disclaimers/coding practices used in past and current editions of the DSM, and even the evolution of prolonged grief disorder (PGD), including its formal introduction in both the DSM-5-TR™ and the ICD-11. You’ll also participate in a discussion of the clinical implications of these diagnostic updates, giving you the chance to get your questions answered and be better equipped to make more accurate differential diagnoses in practice.

Dr. Zampitella specializes in death, loss, bereavement, integrative psychology, and nature-based therapy. She is the former resident psychologist on Fox 5 News in San Diego and often appeared on NBC News in California and Philadelphia.
